Project Management Trainee – Civic Initiatives

🚀 We’re Hiring! GLOCAL is Looking for Project Management Trainees 🚀

GLOCAL is excited to announce a paid, remote Project Management Trainee co-op / internship opportunity supporting civic initiatives and public-interest projects. This role is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on, real-world experience while making meaningful impact.

About the role:
As a Project Management Trainee, you will lead a civic taskforce—a team of Canadian youth volunteers (aged 12–30) working together on a clearly defined project that serves the public interest. In this highly practical role, you’ll gain end-to-end project management experience by recruiting, onboarding, and coordinating your team from start to finish. You’ll be supported with structured tools, templates, and staff guidance to ensure goals, roles, and expectations are clear, achievable, and impactful.

What you’ll gain:
✔️ Real-world experience planning and executing project activities
✔️ Leadership experience coordinating and supporting a volunteer team
✔️ Collaboration with a mission-driven organization
✔️ Opportunities to deliver measurable outcomes
✔️ Transferable skills in project coordination, communication, organization, teamwork, and problem-solving—valuable across many career paths and academic disciplines

Who can apply:
🎓 Students legally authorized to work in Canada
🌍 Fully remote — open to students anywhere in Canada
📆 Flexible term lengths (4–16 weeks) with rolling start dates throughout 2026, making it easy to align with co-op terms or academic schedules

If you’re passionate about civic engagement and want to build practical project management and leadership experience, we’d love to hear from you.
