What does a volunteer at GLOCAL do?
Here at GLOCAL Foundation, we aim to empower young Canadians like yourself to be globally aware and locally engaged. By joining our remote volunteering program, you can help us engage with more young Canadians and have the opportunity to participate on digital civic engagement activities and gain experience in public engagement!
Our Volunteer Programs
As a grassroots team, our initiatives are largely made possible due to our outstanding volunteers!
Volunteer Program 1 – 5 hours per YEAR
Volunteer Program 2 – 5 hours per MONTH
Volunteer Program 3 – 5 hours per WEEK
Please note that the '5 hours' specified in each program are meant to be a rough idea of volunteers' time commitment. It is not binding, nor restricted. Every volunteer can work more hours or fewer hours than 5 hours according to their availability. Actual volunteer hours will be recognized accordingly.

GLOCAL Volunteer Badge (upon completing 5 hours of volunteer work)
GLOCAL Community Service Badge (upon completing 30 hours of
volunteer service work; reference letters available upon request)
GLOCAL Civic Engagement Badge (upon completing 60 hours of volunteer service work; reference letters available upon request)
GLOCAL Outstanding Community Service Commendation (upon completing 120 hours of volunteer service work; reference letters available upon request)
GLOCAL Outstanding Community Leadership Commendation (upon completing 150 hours of volunteer service work; reference letters available upon request)

Official Launch: CANConnect Micro-Grant Diversity Program
Funded by the Canada Service Corps (CSC) at Employment and Social Development of Canada and administrated by GLOCAL, the CANConnect Micro-grant Diversity Program empowers young Canadians, aged 15-30, to lead and create innovative civic engagement projects. This initiative is designed to offer a micro-grant (up to $5,000) to youth as they develop and launch creative, impactful projects that foster civic engagement and address social issues in Canada.
